Ivory/cream is not a colour I usually go for, mostly owing to the fact myself or one of my little humans usually spill something on it within the first 5 mins.
I also find it can be a tricky one to pull off, especially if like me, you are a pale shade yourself. That said, the moment I spotted this dress from COS I knew I had to try it. I adore the Grecian styled drape sleeve and the ruched waist makes it very flattering, and don’t even get me started on the ethereal asymmetric skirt which floats and wafts when the wind catches it. It’s stunning! (FYI it falls longer on me then the model owing to my more petite 5’2 frame)
Of course, me being me I had to add a flash of colour so my thigh high topshop boots were just the ticket, and certainly got me a lot of attention sashaying my way through Soho. My earrings also got lots of attention and are from H&M who are my go to for statement but inexpensive earrings.
I love the end result but can’t help but feel this would also make such a wonderful informal bridal gown for the minimalist modern bride-to-be.
