When it comes to Fathers day I truly believe you can never go wrong with a gorgeous new fragrance, whether you are buying for your own father or surprising your partner with a gift from the Kids.
This year there are three that have captivated me, each with their own unique scent and story. Whichever you chose, he will be sure to love it!
For me, Acqua Di Parma are always a first choice, their iconic bottle design and inspiring scents always seem to just hit the spot!
The latest of their colognes is inspired from the hilltops of Tuscany and the elegant Cypress tree, this subtle yet refreshing fragrance opens with Star anise, elemi, orange and petit grain, with a vivacious heart of sage and lavender and woody balsamic base notes of cypress and pine.
A former model for Ralph Lauren, Chris Collins is no stranger to sophistication and class, however it is his passion for fragrance that has lead him to create his collection, inspired by his love for New York & France with names such as Harlem Nights, Renaissance Man and Danse Sauvage, each a story tale in themselves and each a delicious and tantalising scent. Renaissance man is a warm oriental scent that has an energetic spicy citrus top notes, and a warm dry down of Tonka bean, tobacco and leather.
A bestseller at Selfridges with men and women alike, Regent Leather by Thameen is technically not gendered towards men but rather is modern in its gender free approach. In fact, it is currently my own personal favourite fragrance owing to its warm and sensual scent. But, men will love this equally and it’s deep blue bottle and sophisticated, luxurious packaging make it the perfect Father’s Day treat! It’s original association comes from the Rolls Royce enthusiasts club which can be felt in the base notes of Patchouli, cedar wood, gurjum, vanilla, animalic, musk and labdanum while the heart notes of Jasmine, saffron, cardamom, rose add to its warmth and sensuality.
